Symbolic rituals
Symbolic rituals add a truly magical element to a wedding ceremony and you will already be familiar with the exchanging of rings. But, did you know that there are other rituals you can include? You may wish to incorporate one or more of these into your wedding ceremony for that extra special touch.
Hand-fasting
During a hand-fasting ritual, the couple will be bound with colourful ribbons or a cord to symbolise the bond they hold.
Unity candle
Lighting a unity candle brings together two individual lights into one symbolising a commitment to one another.
Sand-blending
The symbolic act of blending two lives or families. The couple will pour layers of beautifully coloured sand into a vessel.
Wine or cocktail ceremony
Two tipples are mixed symbolising the joining of two lives. The couple then drink from the same glass.
