The tipi wedding venue in the heart of the Somerset countryside

Have you been searching for a tipi wedding venue in the heart of the Somerset countryside? Do you dream of an organic woodland ceremony nestled in the trees? You might have just found the perfect place for your celebrant-led wedding. Are you are a couple looking for a venue which balances rustic festival vibes without compromising on style, comfort and service? Noah’s Pond in Frome may just be the venue for you. Set on a farm in the Somerset countryside with views across both Somerset and Wiltshire, Noah’s Pond is one of three venues owned and run by Lucy and Craig. All three come under the banner of Curated Canvas.

What to expect during your woodland wedding

The first thing you will notice is how peaceful it is and when you spot the tops of the tipis peeping through the trees, you will quickly imagine your Glastonbury-inspired day where you are the headliners supported by your dream lineup! The most wonderful thing about Noah’s Pond is that you get total freedom over how this looks. Shunning packages (and corkage!) in favour of a completely bespoke approach, Lucy and Craig will facilitate your vision. You can choose your suppliers from a long list of tried and tested locally owned businesses. Be prepared to be spoilt for choice.

Sustainability is a core value so expect to be able to choose vegan caterers if you so desire, upcycled furniture lovingly brought back to life by Craig himself (the little blue love seat in the ceremonial space is my favourite piece) and the opportunity for a confetti corridor winding up the meadow with eco-friendly confetti, all in the knowledge that your wedding will have minimal impact.

A gorgeous wedding ceremony

This month, I had the absolute pleasure of delivering a wedding ceremony for a gorgeous couple in the woodland ceremonial space and it was just so special. Making their way down a winding path to a hidden opening in the copse, guests were delighted to find a beautiful space furnished with upcycled church seating, a flower arch adorned with lush green foliage and totally magical woodland vibes. The space is covered so even if the weather doesn’t play fair, you can be assured that you and your guests will remain dry throughout the ceremony. The venue is unlicensed so you really do get total control over what your ceremony looks like.

The main tipi is for dancing! And eating, speeches, reunions with friends and family and all out party. Think the Acoustic Stage or Woodsies Stage where you get to curate the entertainment. My couple invited 120 guests for the ceremony and the wedding breakfast, and both the ceremonial space and main tipi accommodated them comfortably. Following the ceremony, guests were served drinks outside while enjoying the open space and the views.
